• was leading a nursing management seminar but lacked any real nursing management experience
• had only non-healthcare experience
• had little, if any, experience with what they were presenting
• talked almost exclusively in academic terms (theories, models, and so forth)
• provided unrealistic "solutions" that just weren't practical or applicable to a nursing area
The name Reality Based Management was chosen to reflect our goal of providing professional development that works in the reality of today's nursing environment. We understand that your investment to attend or have your staff participate in our workshops involves more than just the registration fee. We provide relevant, practical, "reality based" tools that will actually work in a nursing setting.

Our History
Our first seminars were conducted in 1982. Over the years, we have held thousands of seminars and workshops for nurses, ancillary staff and other healthcare professionals. We conduct our professional development seminars in every state including Alaska, Hawaii, Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico. We have had the pleasure and responsibility of facilitating the professional development of tens of thousands of nurse managers, supervisors and ancillary staff in all kinds of healthcare organizations. Whether our attendees are from large medical centers or small hospitals, physician practices or long-term care facilities, unionized or non-unionized, tightly structured or start-ups we consistently provide relevant and practical information, tools and strategies to produce a professional atmosphere, enhanced patient outcomes, teamwork and excellent customer satisfaction ratings.
